He is currently in private practice and has completed more than 10,000 spinal surgeries over a 45-year period. He believes all patients should be treated conservatively and is interested in motion preservation. He is among the most experienced disc replacement surgeons in the United States today. He is often referred to as “the doctor of last resort” since many of his patients have conditions that are considered hopeless by many other doctors.
