This year's California Chiropractic Association (CalChiro) Fall 2020 Conference will be offered only VIRTUALLY starting on Sat, October 17, Sun, October 18 and continuing Tues, October 20 - Fri, October 23. There are no classes on Mon, October 19. The virtual event will offer one track of classes daily and attendees can earn up to 26.5 hours of interactive video conferencing CE* via webinar, and up to 28 hours of distance learning CE via on demand.
*The new waiver from the CA Board of Chiropractic Examiners allows doctors to earn interactive video conferencing hours, which counts towards your in-person CE requirements, only if you attend the LIVE webinar scheduled class times. If you attend after the class is presented and view it on demand, this will be distance learning CE.

DR. PARIS IS A 2001 GRADUATE OF PALMER COLLEGE OF CHIROPRACTIC WEST. HE HAS LIVED AND WORKED IN REDDING, CALFIORNIA SINCE GRADUATION FROM COLLEGE ENJOYING THE NORTHSTATE AREA WITH HIS BUSY FAMILY OF FIVE.
HE HAS BEEN AN ACTIVE MEMBER OF THE CCA SINCE GRADUATION SERVING AT THE LOCAL DISTRICT LEVEL, THEN FOR THE LAST FIVE YEARS ON THE CCA EXECUTIVE COMMITTEE, CURRENTLY AS THEIR VICE PRESIDENT. DR. PARIS HAS WORKED FOR THE VETERANS ADMINISTRATION SINCE 2005 AND CURRENTLY SERVICES AS A NATIONAL FIELD ADVISORY COMMITTEE MEMBER AND AS THE CHAIR OF THE PREVENTIVE ETHICS COMMITTEE FOR THE VA’S NORTHERN CALIFORNIA HEALTHCARE SYSTEM.
Dr. Drake received his bachelor’s degree at Florida State University where he was a walk-on to the Track & Field team. He received his Masters in Sports Health Science with an emphasis in Sports Injury Management as well as his Doctorate in Chiropractic from Life University in Atlanta.
Dr. Drake has extensive experience in treating active individuals as well as professional athletes including athletes from the NFL, NHL, NBA, MLB, Nitro Circus, UCI BMX, XGames, USA Adaptive Surfing, ATP, WTA, AVP, AVP First, FIVB, CrossFit, PGA, LPGA, and Korn Ferry Tour.

Kathy Weidner, better known professionally as Kathy Mills Chang, is a Colorado girl, residing there with her husband and two beloved basset hounds, Homer and Daisy Mae. Kathy started as a CA in 1983 and has been providing healthcare providers and teams with hands-on training, advice and tools to improve the financial and compliance performance of their practices ever since. Kathy is known as one of our profession’s premiere Medicare, compliance, billing, and documentation experts. She knows her stuff, and consistently rates as one of the most informative, and entertaining speakers we have. Now a Certified Medical Compliance Specialist (MCS-P), a Certified Professional Chiropractic Coder (CCPC) and a Certified Clinical Chiropractic Assistant (CCCA), Kathy’s super-power is that she makes these difficult subjects simple, easy to understand, and, most importantly, easy to implement. In 2007, Kathy founded KMC University, the profession’s go-to for practice analysis and training on these subjects. Her team is the largest team of certified specialists under one roof in the profession, and has over 250 years’ experience in chiropractic, including Kathy’s 37 years of service to the profession. Scott Haldeman DC, MD, PhD, FRCP(C), FCCS(C), FAAN holds the positions of Clinical Professor in the Department of Neurology, University of California, Irvine, Adjunct Professor, Department of Epidemiology, School of Public Health, University of California, Los Angeles, Adjunct Profession, Department of Health Sciences, Ontario Tech University and Adjunct Professor, Southern California University of Health Sciences. He is a graduate of the University of Pretoria, South Africa (B.Sc. M.Sc), the Palmer College of Chiropractic, USA (DC) and the University of British Columbia, Canada (Ph.D., M.D.) He completed his internship at the Vancouver General Hospital, residency in Neurology at the University of California Irvine and fellowship in electrodiagnosis at the Long Beach Veterans Hospital. He is certified by the American Board of Neurology and Psychiatry, is a Fellow of the Royal College of Physicians of Canada and a Fellow of the American Academy of Neurology. He is a Diplomate of the American Board of Electrodiagnostic Medicine, the American Board of Electroencephalography and Neurophysiology and the American Board of Clinical Physiology. He is Past President of the North American Spine Society, the American Back Society, the North American Academy of Manipulative Therapy, and the Orange County Neurological Society. He served on the Executive Council of the International Society for the Study of the Lumbar Spine. He was appointed and continues to serve as an International Ambassador for the Decade of the Bone and Joint Currently the Global Alliance for Musculoskeletal Health. He served as Chairman and is currently Chairman Emeritus of the Research Council of the World Federation of Chiropractic He is the founder and currently serves as President of World Spine Care, a non-profit organization endorsed by the Decade of the Bone and Joint, an initiative of the WHO. This Foundation has the goal of helping people in underserved regions of the world who suffer from spinal disorders. He currently chairs the Global Spine Care Initiative to develop evidence-informed, practical, and sustainable, spine health care models for communities around the world. The proceedings of the GSCI which was a collaboration of 68 clinicians from 24 countries was published as 15 papers in the European Spine Journal in October 2018. He has served on the editorial boards of eight professional and scientific journals. He has published over 230 scientific articles or book chapters and has authored or edited 8 textbooks. He served on the US department of Health AHCPR Clinical Guidelines Committee on Acute Low Back Problems in Adults as well as 4 other Clinical Guidelines Committees. He presided over The Bone and Joint Decade 2000 to 2010 Task Force on Neck Pain and Its Associated Disorders. He served as a member of the Scientific Advisory Council of the National Center for Complimentary and Integrative Health. He was awarded the David Selby Award by the North American Spine Society, the Patenge Distinguished Lecturer Award from Michigan State University, an honorary Doctor of Humanities degree from the Southern California University of Health Sciences. In 2015 he received the Bone and Joint Decade Global Alliance Distinguished Service Award. In 2018 he received the Dr. Lou Sportelli Lifetime of Leadership Award.
Dr. Michael Fanning is a Rhode Island native. He served six years in the United States Air Force as a Forward Air Controller (JTAC), including two tours to Iraq. He is a SCUHS Graduate and has additional Sports Medicine training as a SCU Sports Medicine Resident. After finishing his residency, he became the Tactical Sports Medicine Lead Clinician at SCU. The Tactical Sports Medicine Clinic provides vertically integrated, high quality, patient centered care to Law Enforcement, Fire Fighters, Veterans and First Responders. He has also traveled nationally and internationally to provide Sports Medicine care to USA Fencing, USA ParaFencing and ParaTrack and Field. Dr. Fanning holds a Diplomate from the American Chiropractic Board of Sports Physicians (DACBSP), he is also a Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist (CSCS) and an International Wheelchair Fencing Classification Committee Certified National Classifier.
