Coordinating and Implementing Integrative Care
Length: 2:00
In today’s healthcare environment, many patients are consulting with chiropractors as doctors of first contact and their needs may fall outside of the scope of the chiropractor. Knowing how to communicate and coordinate care with other providers with different licenses is essential to ensure best outcomes. Many DC’s now work in offices that house different provider licenses and knowing the hierarchy of licenses and what type of care you can recommend or how you request evaluations of patients is essential for effectiveness and legal reasons (i.e. a chiropractor can’t recommend a certain surgery but can refer to a surgeon for an evaluation to see what care is needed). This course will teach the DC how to function ethically and legally in a coordinated care environment to obtain better outcomes for patients.
